How to Get People to Click on Your Link             How to Get People to Click on Your Link

In this article, I will be discussing how to get people to click on your links. This can be your affiliate links, banners, etc. Online digital marketing requires that your links be clicked for people to get onto your site and to purchase the products that you are promoting. So, you see, people clicking your links is a must. Below I will highlight how you go about getting your links clicked.

Link Placement

To be sure that your links are noticed which gives them a better chance of being clicked place them in the introduction of your article. If you don’t place them in the introduction, make sure they are at least above the fold.

For those of you that are not familiar with what above the fold is I will define it for you. Above the fold is the section of the web page that is visibleWebsite above the fold definition when the page loads. Placing your links here increase the likelihood that your readers will click on them before they lose interest. Attention spans tend to be short. If your links are at the beginning of your articles this will most likely reduce your page’s bounce rates as well.

Link Color

The color of your links plays a large part in whether they are clicked. Believe it or not, many times links go unnoticed; especially when the color of the link is one that your readers are accustomed to. A large number of websites have links that are a deep blue. I think this is because blue signifies trust.

You can also try using different colors for your links that are more noticeable. And try underlining your links as well. The goal is to try to make your links stand out from all the other content on the page.

Lengthen Anchor Text                                                                                                           Make clickable links with longer text

An easy, effective way to convince people to click on your links is using longer anchor text. For those of you who don’t know what anchor text is, I will define it for you. Anchor text is the text that you click on that contains the link that takes you to the new web page.

You want to make sure the text that you use for the link gives your readers a clear idea of what they will be getting by clicking on the link. In short, they need to understand where the link is taking them. I have attached an example below.

Keep Distractions at a Minimum

If you want your readers to focus on your page’s content then be sure to keep distractions to a minimum. Try not to have too many flashy advertisements on the sidebar. Also, keep additional images that are not related to your content at a minimum so as not to draw your reader’sCollage of too many website ads attention away from your article.

Limit the Number of Links

Although we want to make sure our links our noticeable we don’t want to overwhelm our readers and our article with too many links. That makes the article look spammy. It also gives the impression that the purpose of the article is to sell your readers.

A suitable number of articles is generally about 10 links; however, this is not uniform and can vary depending on the length of the article and the number of words it contains. Remember, the purpose of your article should be to help your readers and the links that you provide should be an extension of that.

My Final Thoughts                                                                                                                         how to get people to click on your link

    1. Hello Justin. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on my article. I am glad that you enjoyed it. Putting your links in the beginning of your article, it makes it easy for your visitors to see it. The likelihood that your visitors will click on your link is higher if they don’t have to search for it. That is of course if they like your content and product.

With affiliate marketing there is always something new to learn which I enjoy. I love helping others, writing, and I love doing anything that has to do with being online. Affiliate marketing is something that I love also. It is a consistent learning process.
