How to Get People to Comment on Your Blog

How to Get People to Comment on Your Blog                                                                  website visitors

In this post, I will be talking about how to get people to comment on your blog. Comments are extremely important for a couple of reasons.

Google loves to see that people are engaged with the content on your website, so these comments tell Google that you are creating quality content that is of value to your readers.

When people comment on your website it increases your ranking as Google sees that your content is the type of content that they want. Overall, comments are beneficial to you because it means that your content is engaging your readers.

Without further ado, let’s get into how to go about getting people to comment on your blog.

Write with Passion                                                                                                                                passion in business

No one wants to read a boring blog post, right? I know that it takes me a paragraph or two to decide whether I will keep reading or not.

When you are writing your blog, put your passion in your writing. Try to keep your reader engaged and entertained.

End Each Post with a Question

At the end of each of my blog posts, I ask a question. In addition to asking a question, sometimes I will ask my readers to add their thoughts.

You can even go as far as to ask your readers to add to your list if your blog post has one.

The point is to engage your readers to let them know that you value their ideas, opinions, and feelings.

Be Sure to Reply to Your Comments                                                                                          immediate reply requested

When you visitors comment on your blogs posts be sure to respond to them. First, for your visitor to take their time out to respond to your post and to be ignored is unacceptable and very rude.

Thank those that comment on your site and be sure to answer any and all questions. I try to respond to my comments within 24 hours.

Comment on Other Blogs within Your Niche

Visit other blogs within your niche and leave a well-thought-out insightful comment. Be sure to leave a comment that adds value to the conversation, leave more than just a “Great article”.

You wouldn’t be happy with a comment like that so be sure to add value to the discussion.                                                        social media responses

Ask for Feedback on Social Media Platforms

When posting your articles and links on Facebook, Twitter, etc. be sure that you are asking for feedback instead of just leaving your links.

Asking for your follower’s feedback shows you value their opinions. Everyone loves to feel validated right?

Conclusion

In closing, comments are vital to the success of our websites and domains. Not only do they attribute to our sites being ranked by Google, Bing, and Yahoo, they are worth so much more.

In this article, I have given you some ideas on how to get people to comment on your blog. Please feel free to add to my list if you have any more ideas that you think I left all.

This is by no means an all-inclusive list. Just like with any subject, there are many ways to achieve a goal.

Well, good luck on getting more comments on your website!

A call to action works really great when it comes to increasing comments on your website. Like you’ve said, ending a post with a question will be a great call to action. I always end my post with 2 questions and then say, “Leave a comment bellow”.

But yeah, it’s also important to write interesting content, because nobody is going to comment if you’re not very interesting.

Yes, Google loves to see that our website visitors are enjoying our content and there is no better proof than when out visitors leave comments and ask questions.
