Siterubix websites are responsive which means they are mobile ready. More than 75% of my website visitors are on smartphones or tablets so it is crucial that the platform being used is fast for mobile users or they will leave your site.

Another Siterubix benefit is that there are thousands of professional themes to choose from as well as the ability to add functionalities as your website grows and evolves.

WordPress is the Best Free Website Builder

The second on my list for the best free website builder is WordPress. I am probably a bit partial to this platform because I use it on my websites, and for good reason. WordPress is very user-friendly which makes it easy to use for those who are not comfortable with technology.

This platform can be used to create virtually any type of site such as social networks, membership sites, eCommerce store, forums, etc. Get this, WordPress has over 10,000 themes to choose from and 50k free plugins that can be used to add features to your website. That is more than enough as far as options go.

There are 2 different WordPress platforms, and There are many differences that set the two apart. is self-hosted and is the worlds most popular website building platform and is used by 31% of all websites and for a very good reason.

In a nutshell, has far more functionality and fewer restrictions than With you can customize your themes, add plugins, showcase ads, and it is your responsibility to manage your domain. With you have no access to branding, plugins, and limited SEO and theme support.

If you want more details about the differences between and click here. I have also written a detailed review article about WordPress and all their benefits, you can check out my WordPress review by clicking here.

Overall, I think that is the superior product which gives you the option of scalability whereas is far more limited. Both are great platforms because they are WordPress.

Weebly Welcome Page

There is another free website builder that I cannot leave out, it is Weebly. The interface is user-friendly with a drag & drop builder to use when designing your website. There is no need to learn any coding skills, the drag & drop builder makes sure of that.

All Weebly’s plans come are fully hosted and come with SSL security so you don’t have to pay for those separately. Weebly does have some limited features; storage is limited to 500mb and there are Weebly branded ads. Another thing that you should be aware of is that Weebly charges a 3% transaction fee on eCommerce sites when purchases are made. This applies to all plans except for the Business plan.

Wix Welcome Page

Next up is Wix, which is another very popular website platform. One great feature about Wix is that it has its own hosting, so you will not need to pay separately for web hosting as you do for many other website builders.

This platform has over 500 templates that you can choose from as well as apps that can be added for more functionality. There is a drag and drop website builder that is easy to use for many.

There is an unappealing feature that comes with all Wix plans. They have Wix branded ads that cannot be removed unless you upgrade to the Combo or Unlimited plan.

Wix’s free plan may not have sufficient storage or bandwidth because it is limited to 500MB storage and 1GB of bandwidth. With the premium plans, you will have unlimited bandwidth and up to 50GB of storage.

GoDaddy Welcome Page

GoDaddy is a large, well-known name as they are known for servicing domain names and web hosting. The website builder is an easy-to-use drag & drop block layout. The websites are professional and have a photo gallery integrated with photos that can be used for your website designs from Getty Photography.

Although the websites produced on this platform are of a professional caliber, the features are limited, and you will not have the flexibility that you have on other platforms that are on this list. For websites that are rich with content, I would go with another platform like WordPress so you have more functionality and control. Additionally, if you ever decide you want to move your website from the GoDaddy platform moving your website from GoDaddy to another platform such as WordPress can prove to be quite difficult.

GoDaddy does offer a free trial so you can build your websites for free, however, you will have to pay a monthly fee which includes your hosting and support.

My Final Thoughts                                                                                                                              Strategic Marketing Affiliates Final Thoughts
